Saint Florent et la plage du Lotu (1 journée) LUNDI

Après avoir emprunté une jolie route sinueuse à travers la montagne, vous arriverez à Saint-Florent. Embarquement pour la Plage du Lotu, une magnifique plage de sable blanc qui se situe dans le désert des Agriates. Temps libre pour baignade, retour sur le Port de Saint-Florent, visite libre de la ville. Vous y découvrirez des édifices anciens tels que la Cathédrale du XIIe siècle ou la Citadelle du XVe siècle qui semble couronner le village mais vous prendrez également plaisir à vous promener le long des quais et profiter de l’animation permanente du port de plaisance situé au cœur du village. Retour sur Calvi.

Excursion Bus - Duration : whole day - MONDAY
You will reach Saint-Florent through a beautiful sinuous road. Boarding for Lotu Beach, a wonderful white sand beach situated in the desert of Agriates. Three hours of spare time to bathe or sunbathe. Back to the port of Saint-Florent.
Free visit of the city where you will discover monuments such the XII th century Cathedral or the XV th Citadel which seems to crown the village. You will enjoy walking along the wharfs or the permanent animation of the marina. Return in Calvi.

Départ par le centre de la Corse, Ponte Leccia, Pont de Castirla, Scala di Santa Regina, Calacuccia, Forêt de Valdu-Niellu, Col de Vergio, Evisa, gorges de Speluncato, les "calanche" de Piana, Porto.
Déjeuner libre.
Après-midi Partinello Col de la Croix, golfe de Girolata, Fango, Marsulinu, retour sur Calvi.
 
 
Departure for Corse’s center, then you ‘ll go to Ponte Leccia, Pont de Castirla, Scala di Santa Regina, Calacuccia, the Valdu-Niellu’s forest, Col de Vergio Evisa.
The arrival in Porto offers you panoramic sights on all the gulf, which owes its beauty with its red cliff littoral which falls a pic in the sea, contrasting with the intense blue of water, with in the south famous Calanche of Piana (of which the visit will be carried out after the lunch in Porto), and in north the Gulf of Girolata.
Then, while going up towards Galéria, stop with the Collar of the Cross for the splendid point of view on the Gulfs of Porto and its gênoise tower, Girolata and the Natural Reserve of Scandola. Continuously the road, we reach Fango and fi nish the circuit by a crossing of Marsulinu, area of the shepherds coming from Niolo.

Les Vieux Villages de Balagne (1/2 journée) MERCREDI APRES-MIDI

Vous découvrirez tous les vieux villages de Balagne, restés authentiques avec leur charme d’autrefois.
Vous visiterez Calenzana, Zilia. En chemin, une visite d’un moulin à huile à Lunghignano, Montemaggiore, Col de Salvi pour un magnifique panorama sur la baie de Calvi, San Antonino (le plus vieux et le plus haut village de Balagne), Aregno, Corbara, l’Île-Rousse et retour sur Calvi.
 
 

The Hold villages - Excursions by bus - Duration : half a day - WEDNESDAY (afternoon)

An excursion exploring the old villages of the Balagne region perched in the mountains.
The first village is Calenzana, overlooked by ‘Monte Grosso’ and nestled among olive and almond trees it is one of the largest villages and the starting point for the renowned GR20 walk, which crosses north to south over the central mountain range. While you are there, you will visit the eglise Saint-Blaise. By the small road called ‘Route Des Artisans’ (craftsman’s road) or ‘Route des Vins’ (wine trail) you will pass through the village of Zilia, which produces the local mineral water and onto Lunghignano. Here you will visit an old olive mill. While passing by Montemaggiore you will reach the ‘Col de Salvi’ (509m) to appreciate the splendid panoramic view of the bay of Calvi.
You then descend to arrive at ‘Sant Antonino’, the highest and oldest Balagne village. There you can explore the maze of cobbled streets and archways to appreciate the views that its precarious position offers. Before heading back down to the coast, you will be able to visit the famous ‘Eglise de la Trinité’ in Aregno. Offering a large polychrome vault within its granite walls you can admire the fresco’s, statuettes and animal fi gures. Returning to the coast, via Corbara, you will arrive to Ile Rousse, and then to Calvi.

Le Cap Corse et Bastia (1 journée) JEUDI

Départ pour le Nord de la Corse, vous découvrirez ses côtes ponctuées de tours génoises. Saint Florent Patrimonio, puis vous remonterez le long du Cap Corse, une alternance de villages de pêcheurs et de hameaux perchés sur les hauteurs (Erbalunga, Santa Severa, Nonza…).
Bastia, temps libre pour la visite de la ville et le déjeuner libre. Retour par Ponte Leccia, Île-Rousse.
Retour sur Calvi.
 
 

Excursions by bus - Duration the all day - THURSDAY

Departure for North Corsica. You’ll discover its coasts punctuated of gênoises towers.
Continuing southwards, we will visit a vineyard in, what is said to be Corsica’s best wine region, Patrimonio, for a wine tasting before heading towards Saint Florent. Saint Florent, as well as being the commercial capital of the Nebbiu region, is most famous for its nautical activities and harbour. Then you ‘ll cross the Agriates’ desert and its marvelous landscapes (rocks, scrublands, views on the Corsican cape and the coast…).
To fi nish, you ‘ll go back up along the Corsican cape, an alternation of fi shermen’’s villages and of hamlets perched on the heights (Erbalunga, Santa Severa, Nonza…). Before coming back you will visit Bastia and lunch there. To come back you ‘ll pass by Ponte Leccia, Ile Rousse, and Calvi.

Corte (1/2 journée) VENDREDI APRES-MIDI

Une demi-journée pour découvrir Corte. Après Île-Rousse, en longeant la côte, on empruntera la Balanina pour arriver jusqu’à Corte, capitale de la Nation Corse de Pascal Paoli de 1755 à 1769, ville juchée sur un piton rocheux au centre d’un cirque montagneux, au coeur géographique de la Corse. Visite de la vieille ville en petit train touristique. Puis temps libre pour découvrir cette cité aux ruelles escarpées, dominée par sa citadelle à laquelle on accède par un escalier aux 166 marches de marbre vert de la Restonica. Retour sur Calvi.
 
 

Excursion Bus - Duration : half a day - FRIDAY (afternoon)

Half a day to discover Corte… On leaving Calvi, we will follow the coast taking the Balanina’s region, before heading towards the mountainous centre of the island and Corte.
Corte was the Corsica ‘s capital during its brief years of independence when Pascal Paoli was the head of the nation between 1755 and 1769. Sitting on its rocky position in the centre of a mountainous circus, it is the geographical heart of the Island. On arrival in the city, you will receive a brief tour by a small train (price included) to enable you to get your bearings and explore the city by your own.
This signifi cant historical city boasts the only university on the island. Created by Pascal Paoli in 1765, it closed in 1769 when the French took control of Corsica only to re-open in 1981. Corte is dominated by the only inland citadel in Corsica, which is perched high on a rocky pinnacle in the centre of the city.
